Wet contouringSee how simple it is!

Wet contouring is a trend that has been with us for years. No wonder – it looks natural and is really easy, so even beginner makeup enthusiasts can handle it.

This contouring method allows you to optically slim your face. It will give you a facelift without using a scalpel, and will also highlight the beauty of your facial features. Learn how to wet contour and where to apply individual products to achieve a stunning effect!

What is wet contouring?

Contouring the face is based on the play of light and shadow that naturally occurs on our face. Wet contouring helps to additionally enhance this impression of three-dimensionality. How to achieve it? You can emphasize or hide selected parts of the face using a cream bronzer and concealer.

Use bronzer to highlight the areas you want to hide – depending on your needs, these could be your cheekbones, chin, sides of your forehead or nose. This way, you will optically slim them down. On the other hand, you can highlight what you want to highlight with a light concealer. Apply it to the tops of your cheekbones, the middle of your forehead and the bridge of your nose, for example. This way, you will bring them to the forefront.

Highlighted cheekbones, visually slimmed nose, enhanced facial features - these are the benefits of wet contouring . This method allows you to slightly change the shape of your face in the way you want it.

How to contour your face wet?

The first step is of course to apply foundation. In this case, you don't need to apply a lot of it - just the bare minimum is enough, just to even out the skin tone. You can cover up any discolorations in the next steps.

The key to wet contouring is applying products to the right places. Remember that it is better to apply a smaller amount of bronzer and concealer at the beginning, and if necessary, later simply add a little bit of the cosmetic to enhance the effect if you are not satisfied with it yet.

Bronzer is usually applied:

– slightly below the cheekbones – this allows you to slim your cheeks,

– on the sides of the forehead - to optically reduce them,

 – on the sides of the nose and its tip - this way you will create the impression of a shadow and visually change its shape,

– under and above the lips – this will make them appear fuller,

– on the jaw line — this helps slim the face and reduce the double chin.

It is best to apply concealer:

– in the middle of the forehead - this way you will gently highlight this place,

– on the bridge of the nose - in combination with the applied bronzer, it allows you to slightly change its shape,

– on the area under the eyes (towards the temples) – this will give you the impression of a subtle lifting,

– under the nose and on the chin — to optically move these places forward,

– below the bronzer line (optional) – this way you will emphasize the contouring line and further enhance the features.

Wet contouring aims to highlight the natural shadows on the face, as well as visually slim it and optically enlarge or reduce the area you choose.
